Britannia Arms: Your Go-To British Pub in San Jose

Great place to watch NFL on sundays. Multiple screens so you can see the games no matter you sit. Staff and waitresses were friendly and matter sure we were OK. With Dj Brotha Reese playing music made it a party atmosphere.

We dropped by this place on a Friday afternoon 3pm for a couple of happy hour beers. Friendly courteous staff provided service expediently. Good drinks, snacks and vibe at this neighborhood pub.

First first time ever going here just came to get a quick drink the inside was super nice very clean very spacious I really like the bar they had a huge selection of draft beers bottle beers already canned beers and plenty of alcohol bottles bartender was pretty chill servicing pretty nice cook seemed pretty nice I didn't order food I looked at the food online and the pictures didn't look that satisfying I've never heard of British food my my rule is if I haven't heard of people talking about it .must not be that good but hey maybe I'm wrong besides that it was a nice place three drinks for 20 bucks not too bad I definitely recommend checking this place out if you're driving by on the freeway or live in the area

Hosted an event here and the staff was PHENOMENAL. The coordinating of the event with Julia was effortless and smooth. The staff that evening was exceptional at taking our groups food and drink orders and making sure we were well cared for. We will be back! We also had some appetizers for the event that were perfect. The fruit platter was amazing and all the fruit was sweet and perfectly ripe! That's rare for a fruit platter anywhere... Potato skins and chips and guac were delicious as well!

Happy Hour is theeeee best!!!!! Very reasonable prices on food as well as beer with a great selection. I found My bar in the San Jose area!! The bartenders are so nice. The Owner is very interpersonal with the customers, this is an amazing place to jus eat, drink a pint or two and watch sports. The regulars are so nice to. I was welcomed with open arms here. The food is AMAZING as well! SHOUT OUT TO THE KITCHEN STAFF!! SHOUTS OUT TO GABE BEHIND THE BAR AS WELL!!! I recommend this place to anyone near and far!!

This restaurant and nighttime entertainment spot has been opened for as long as San Jose got its name as capital of Silicon Valley. The staff here are really great and are what makes this place a local hangout spot. It is safe and inclusive environment. A special shout out to Angel… I highly recommend getting to know her as she is a bartender that will make the Brit feel like a second home. Simply the best! Jin is another warm soul to get to know but he is more quiet. If you’re interested in the history of the bar, he knows it as he has been there! You’ll find David, Nicole, and Sonia to be very friendly. Jenn, also quiet at first, is really funny. The staff is what makes the Brit a go to spot, so I highly recommend chatting them up. The owner is pretty friendly too. His name is Paul and he’s often the one with the mop weekend nights, introduce yourself if you’ve never been there before! There are some regulars there too. I would say that they are all kind and do seem to enjoy talking to new patrons. Thursday nights they have karaoke. The DJ is Hank. It’s a great karaoke spot as a lot of the regulars are good, Hank is great at ensuring the person sounds the best by utilizing the various controls or sometimes as a backup vocalist. On Friday and Saturday nights there is either a band or a DJ. They type of crowd and how busy it is heavily depends on the entertainment. They often host special events and celebrations. So the vibe often varies. Most of the food is pretty good. My favorite is their battered cod, the batter is made fresh and although it is made with beer it doesn’t have a hop flavor to it (which I like). Their tartar sauce, it’s so good I think they should sell it! Another favorite of mine is their buffalo chicken salad.

Bangers and mash are the best in the Bay area. Staff is very friendly and the restaurant was nice and clean.

One of my favorite places for fish and chips. Pretty good selection of beer and everyone is super nice.
